Privacy Policy

Account information: your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).

Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference ID — we never see or store your full card number.

Your meditations: the preferences you set when creating a meditation (theme, tone, voice, duration) and the resulting AI-generated script and audio.

Usage data: play counts, your listening history, wallet balance and transaction history, referral activity, and milestones you've reached (e.g. streaks, trees planted).

Device data: a push-notification token if you enable notifications on the mobile app, so we can send you your weekly meditation and activity digests.

Voice recordings: if you use the voice cloning feature (available on our Immersion tier), we collect a recording of your own voice to create a synthetic voice profile, so your meditations can be narrated in your own voice. This is entirely optional and only collected if you actively record a voice sample.

Analytics: we use a product analytics tool to understand how the app is used — which pages are viewed, which features are used, and general usage patterns — so we can improve the product. This includes device and session information, tied to your account while you're signed in.

Optional public profile: if you choose to publish a meditation to the public library or claim a creator handle, that content and handle are visible to other users and, if the page is public, to search engines. We may also feature top public meditations as short video trailers on our official Instagram account, which show your creator handle as on-screen credit — never your real name, email, or other account details.

To generate your personalized meditations, process payments, plant a tree per transaction, run the referral and creator-earnings programs, send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, referral credits), and — if you don't opt out — a weekly newsletter and activity digest.

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on Meditai today.

We use a small number of service providers ("subprocessors") to run Meditai, each receiving only what they need to do their job:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• OpenAI — generates your meditation script from the preferences you provide.
• ElevenLabs — converts your meditation script into spoken audio, and, if you use voice cloning, processes your voice recording to create your synthetic voice profile.
• Resend — delivers transactional and newsletter email.
• Google (Firebase & Google Cloud) — push notifications, and hosts our application, database, and audio storage.
• PostHog — product analytics, so we can understand how the app is used and improve it.
• Ecologi — plants a real tree on your behalf per transaction; they receive a transaction reference, not your personal details.
• Meta (Instagram) — public meditations we feature as promotional video trailers on our official Instagram account are hosted on Meta's platform. Only the meditation's public title, audio/visual content, and your creator handle are included — never your email, real name, or other account details.

We don't share your data with anyone else, and none of these providers may use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.

Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud in the European Union (Belgium). Our subprocessors above may process data in other regions as part of their own infrastructure (for example, OpenAI and Stripe operate globally) — each is bound by its own data-processing terms with us.

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

You can review and update your account information from your Account page at any time, and unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email we send.

To request a copy of your data or the deletion of your account, email us at privacy@meditai.app. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Purchased meditations are retained according to their purchase type (some expire after a period unless you're subscribed; subscription-tier purchases and library content you own remain accessible while your account exists). When you request deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep transaction records for tax or legal purposes.

Meditai is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
